01Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scamora ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our") at https://scamora.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses any part of the Platform. Use of the Platform also implies acceptance of our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.

02The Platform

Scamora is a community-powered scam detection and review platform that allows users to:

• Check whether websites, email addresses, phone numbers, and crypto wallets are reported as safe or fraudulent by other users.
• Read and submit reviews, ratings, and scam reports.
• Access live security data from third-party APIs including Google Safe Browsing, VirusTotal, and Have I Been Pwned.

The Platform is provided for informational and community purposes only. Trust scores, ratings, and reviews reflect the opinions of users and third-party API results — they are not legal determinations of fraud or safety. See our Disclaimer for full details.

03User Accounts

Registration

Certain features of the Platform require registration. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep it updated.

Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

One account per person

Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate trust scores or reviews is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent bans of all associated accounts.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

04Review Guidelines

By submitting a review, report, or any other content to the Platform, you agree that:

• Your review is based on your genuine, first-hand experience.
• Your review does not contain false, misleading, defamatory, or malicious statements.
• You will not submit reviews for businesses you own, work for, or have a financial interest in (or their competitors).
• You will not accept payment or incentives in exchange for writing reviews.
• Your review does not contain personal data of third parties (e.g. names, phone numbers, email addresses of private individuals).
• Your review does not contain hate speech, harassment, sexually explicit content, or threats of violence.

Content licence

By submitting content to the Platform, you grant Scamora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of the Platform's services.

Content moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without notice. Repeated violations will result in account suspension or permanent ban.

05Prohibited Use

You must not use the Platform to:

• Publish false, defamatory, or malicious reviews or reports.
• Manipulate trust scores through coordinated fake reviews or report brigading.
• Attempt to access, scrape, or copy data from the Platform in bulk without prior written consent.
• Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to submit reviews or interact with the Platform.
• Impersonate any person, organisation, or business.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its servers.
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or our staff.

Violations may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

06Intellectual Property

All original content on the Platform — including the Scamora name, logo, design, code, trust-scoring methodology, and editorial content — is owned by Scamora and protected by copyright and trademark law.

User-submitted reviews remain the intellectual property of the user who submitted them, subject to the licence granted in Section 4. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

07Limitation of Liability

Scamora does not warrant that:

• Trust scores, reviews, or API data are accurate, complete, or up to date.
• The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.
• Any specific website, email, phone number, or crypto wallet is actually safe or unsafe based on its score.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scamora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Platform, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from reliance on trust scores or user reviews.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) £100 / $100.

08Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Scamora and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms.
• Content you submit to the Platform.
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

09Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the Platform.

You may close your account at any time by visiting your account settings or contacting us at [email protected]. Upon closure, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
